As the match progressed, Suryakumar's dismissal triggered a switch for India. Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma combined to score 84 runs in the final 5.1 overs, including seven sixes. Hardik accelerated from 12 to 50 not out, while Varma found the boundary seven times in 16 deliveries.
